Some of you might not be aware that we have featured on TV and radio of late!

We never shy away from such opportunities as there is not much better way to let people know about the plight of these animals than media such as these. It is a great way to highlight and educate on the realities of farmed animals and the need for rescue and care.

On June 5 we were lucky enough to be invited onto 1125 5MU radio SA Today with Claire Murphy. We had a great chat with Claire that lasted for about 5 - 7 minutes and we were extremely grateful for the chance to tell our story and for the interest shown by Claire. The radio spot can be listened to via the link below.

On June 26 we were extremely excited to be invited to be filmed by the long running, award winning kids education show Totally Wild! From what was a fun days filming emerged two great stories which were split into two parts to be aired on different episodes. You can also see the episodes on Facebook.

First to air was an episode on caring for horses which featured our large animals, in particular our horse friends, including two recent fellows who have been adopted since to a wonderful home.

To be aired later on July 18 was an episode on our family of pigs which focused on building trust and socialising piglets.

We loved the fact, in both these episodes, that we were able to showcase some of what is required in keeping, raising and socialising such animals as well as attending to special needs and building trust.

We are always so keen to get the message out there regarding animal welfare and care. We can only thank both Totally Wild and Claire at 5MU for giving us just a little opportunity to speak on behalf of those that can't. Let's hope, especially with the TV spots, that we were able to get just a small message through to the next generation.
