your legacy, their voice

Celebrate your love for the animals by including them in your Will.

Furever Farm exists to provide the protection, peace, care and love that all farmed animals deserve.

The future of every precious soul who calls Furever Farm home relies on the kindness and generosity of people who share our Vision and Mission. Costs associated with running a high quality, ethical sanctuary are enormous - but they deserve nothing less.

We know times are tough and the household budget may not stretch to giving on a regular basis. Including the sanctuary in your Will allows you to donate to the animals when you no longer need it. It’s a beautiful way for your legacy and love for them to live on and ensure their voices will continue to be heard.

How do you include the animals in your Will?

After providing for your loved ones, paying funeral expenses and settling all debts and taxes, there are several options for leaving a gift to Furever Farm, such as:

  • Giving the remainder of your estate after everything else has been accounted for.

  • Leaving a nominated percentage of your final estate.

  • Nominating a specific sum that you want to give.

  • An In Memoriam Bequest: loved ones making a donation in honour of your memory. For example, in lieu of flowers.

How will your gift be used?

Your bequest will be used to directly benefit the animals. From those who will be placed with a loving home, to those who will call the sanctuary home for the rest of their life, your gift can have a long-lasting impact. It may be used for:

  • Physical and psychological healthcare

  • Living environment maintenance and upgrades

  • Nutrition

  • Sanitation

  • Environmental/behavioural enrichment

  • Specific projects

Getting started.

A Will is a hugely complex legal document. There is no one-size-fits all approach. We strongly recommend you speak with a qualified legal adviser who specialises in Wills and Estates, to guide you through the process of:

  • Choosing an Executor to administer your estate in line with your wishes

  • Exploring the best gifting option for your individual circumstances

  • Understanding the implications of each option for you and the sanctuary

  • Determining the current and future value of your estate and how you would like it to be divided

  • Structuring your Will and the wording to ensure it meets legal requirements and your final wishes will be carried out

  • Making adjustments due to changes in your circumstances

  • Discussing your wishes for giving to Furever Farm with your loved ones

The following is an example of wording that may be suitable for bequeathing to Furever Farm:

I bequeath to Furever Farm Incorporated (ABN 20 410 477 156) of 148 Gogel Road, Rockleigh SA 5254  [insert gift option here - e.g. my entire Estate/….percentage of my Estate/the sum of $..../the residue of my Estate] after the payment of all my just debts, funeral and testamentary expenses and all duties, taxes and charges payable on my Estate at my death for its general purposes free of all duties. I declare that the receipt of any authorised officer for the time being of the said Furever Farm Incorporated shall be a full and sufficient discharge for my executor/trustee in respect of such bequest.
