Furever Farm on 5AA
We received a wonderful text message on the morning of October 7 from Adelaide radio station 5AA! In it they asked if we would like to do a live interview about the "great work" they thought we were doing in caring for animals. Of course, we love chatting about all thing's sanctuary and the animals in need.
The plight, and subsequent rescue and care of these animals is a topic not only close to our hearts, but one of great importance to get out to the general public. At Furever Farm, this is the exact reason we do things such as allow booked visits and conduct tours. Although fundraising is a massive part of sanctuary life, education and talking to the masses is a prime reason we do things like attend events or have stalls at markets. It really is the key.
Therefore, when we are asked to appear on radio, or the like, we are not only happy to do so but keen to, again, speak of such an important issue.
We appeared on "Evenings with Matthew Pantelis" at 9:30pm. What turned out to be a pleasant chat about what we actually do also gave us an opportunity to stress what we need in running a sanctuary, including the need for funds and regular volunteers.
We thank 5AA and Matthew Pantelis so much. This is a major radio station amongst many age groups and, as primarily a talk back station, gave us a great method of exposure and ability to tell a short story.
