The Last Pig

Animal Activists South Australia (AASA) and littlemeBigV are thrilled to be bringing the film "The Last Pig" to Adelaide, and better yet, part proceeds of ticket sales will generously go to Furever Farm!

Fundraising is such a crucial part of animal rescue and we try our hardest to keep up the events to keep feeding the animals in need. It is so special and appreciated when other organisations and individuals put on a fundraiser for you all in the name of raising much needed dollars for the animals.

Film and documentaries are things we all like. Films such as The Last Pig resonate so personally with us here at the farm having such a close affiliation with pigs. As you know we have 11 pigs at Furever Farm currently and all have hefty appetites!! It is appropriate that a film such as this should be offered to help care for the pigs of Furever Farm whilst also raising awareness about them and our ability as humans to be compassionate.

The Last Pig, directed by Allison Argohrough, raises crucial questions about equality, the value of compassion and the sanctity of life. Comis’ (ex-pig farmer} soul-bearing narrative carries us through his final year of farming pigs, the struggle to reinvent his life, and the ghosts that will haunt him forever.

Screening on Thursday September 19 2019, 6pm - 9pm at the Capri Theatre, 141 Goodwood Road, Goodwood, Adelaide, tickets are $15 and can be purchased from trybooking via this link -

There will also be a performance on the night by our very own Adelaide Artist Renee Pounsett before the screening.

Food will be available by Joy of Flora and VSpot Pizza Bar. (pre order only)

There will be Fureer Farm merch available but if you are looking to get a The Last Pig t-shirt you will have to order in advance and then pick up on the night.

It is hoped that THE LAST PIG will help propel a shift in our society’s relationship to non-human beings and our capacity for compassion.

The first 100 people to buy a ticket will go into the draw to win a basket full of goodies generously donated by Organic Care. Buy a ticket now to be in the running!

This is a must see and AASA and littlemeBigV are very excited to be presenting this beautifully filmed documentary to Adelaide.

We hope to see you there to witness this great event and help the animals of Furever Farm at the same time.

We also must thank again AASA and littlemBigV for including Furever Farm in this event, helping us raise funds for those that we love the most.

Darren, Hayley & all the Furever Farm team.
